Reminds me of some work I’ve been doing around scifi stories as thought experiments that reflect on us in the present as opposed to being predictive of a future yet to come.

Comment on Google to power Botswana by pipmarks /2014/04/30/google-to-solar-power-botswana/#comment-3 Fri, 02 May 2014 12:46:50 +0000 /?p=31#comment-3 Have you heard about the GivePower Foundation established by a US solar PV company? It won’t help on the scale you are talking but is maybe a start?
I read about it here:
“For every megawatt of energy that SolarCity installs, it is donating a combination solar power and battery to a school without access to electricity in the developing world. The systems are going to be scalable, sustainable and just big enough to power a school at night.”

To take specific examples, the broad swath of blue-purple colour over south-western Australia, or the purple covering western Turkey, what do those colours mean? Are these areas predicted to become urbanised?

The ecological balance is under threat: climate change, population growth and environmental degradation could lead even in this century an irreversible collapse of the global ecosystem.

The cardinal reason is the sudden development of human population that threatens to devour all our resources.

Since 21 August there is therefore a petition at for the introduction of global birth-controls, also in HINDI!

If you want to support this or publish it on your website, here is the link:

Please continue to spread the link or the petition as possible to all interested people, organisations etc.

Thank you and best regards
